Hey everybody. I'm Beth Davis and welcome to Teachable Tuesday, where we discover God's

heart and are changed by His Word. Maybe this is your first time here with us, or maybe you've been here from

the beginning. Either way, I'm so glad you're here and know that God has something he wants to say to

you today. So let's turn and talk to him. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the

Holy Spirit. Amen. Come, Holy Spirit. Lord, we're here for you.

We remember that you are with us, that you're always with us, Lord. And so we return our gaze to you.

We focus the attention of our hearts on you.

We're expectant, Lord, that in this time you will speak,

that you will reveal, that you will pour out your love, Lord.

Grant us the grace to receive it.

Romans chapter 5, starting at verse 1.

Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

and through whom we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand. And we boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God.

And not only that, but we also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance.

And endurance produces character and character produces hope and hope does not disappoint us because god's love has been poured into our hearts through the

holy spirit that has been given to us. Amen. The name of the Father and of the Son

of the Holy Spirit. Amen. So I started wearing glasses in college. I really needed them to drive.

I was going to school out of state. I had a long drive to get there.

And it became pretty obvious that I probably should never have been driving without them.

When I got these glasses and I began to get used to wearing glasses while driving,

it became clear that I actually needed to wear glasses in all kinds of other situations.

The problem is that I never really liked my face in glasses.
