Hey everybody. I'm Beth Davis and welcome to Teachable Tuesday, where every week we discover God's heart and are changed by His Word.

We're about to start a brand new three-week series

called Hope in Hard Times. And I don't know if you could use a little hope right now or

maybe you're in the middle of some hard times, but grab a Bible. We're going to see what

God's word has to say about it. And we're going to be camping out for the next few weeks

in Romans chapter 5. So let's pray. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

amen. Come Holy Spirit. You're already here, Lord, but we take this moment to become aware of your

presence within us, your presence around us fill us in

this time lord with your light and your love bring this word to life in our lives and give us the grace to conform our lives according to your word.

Thank you, Lord.

Romans chapter 5 verse 1.

Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord,

Jesus Christ, through whom we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand. And we boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God. And not only that, but we also boast in our

sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance. And endurance produces character, and character produces

hope. And hope does not disappoint us

because God's love has been poured into our hearts

through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.
