Summary

God’s presence in our lives is something we as believers should seek above all else. Developing a close, personal relationship with Him allows us to hear Him speaking directly to us when we need to hear from Him. Believing that God wants to spend each day with us allows us to experience His love, in both good and bad times, regardless of what mistakes we may have made. Knowing God is not the same as knowing about Him; a genuine relationship with Him teaches us that He is always ready to encourage us and show us mercy, not to punish or condemn us, when we slip and fall. We enter into this relationship when we get born again, and strengthen it by deliberately focusing on God instead of on all the things that happen around us. Walking through life with Him strengthens us and gives us peace and allows Him to guide and direct us. Faith in God’s love allows us to know Him the way He wants us to.

0:31.7	presence of God but today's focus is going to be
0:34.3	on the keys to an intimate relationship with God.
0:38.8	Today I want to be as extremely practical as I can so that in those moments where you're being
0:46.0	challenged in life and you're just kind of wondering what in the world is
0:50.5	going on in the world that you will at least have a some six points that can kind of help
0:55.9	you to get into the presence of God but there are some keys to the an intimate
1:01.6	relationship with God.
1:02.8	Last week we really talked about intimacy
1:05.5	and what that was all about.
1:07.5	And I believe this is what God wants,
1:09.6	and has always wanted more than anything,
1:12.2	that we don't just get on the mechanics but we
1:15.4	want an intimate relationship with God. We learn the mechanics of how
1:19.3	Christianity works, we learn the mechanics of how faith works. We learn the
1:23.4	mechanics of confession giving and receiving and all those things. We learn all of
