According to Psalm 1, what you think about, what you mull over, what you meditate on,

that may help explain why you are or aren't a happy person. Let me read in Psalm 1 beginning with verse 1.

Blessed or happy is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of

sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers, but his delight, or that word could be translated,

and on his law he meditates day and night. We're talking at the beginning of this new year

And we've talked about what the righteous don't do. They don't walk in the council of the

But today we come to verse two that reminds us it's important to know what the righteous do do.

It's not enough to say no to the way of the ungodly.

We need also to say yes to the ways of God.
