Hello friend, my name is Jasmine Star, a photographer and business strategist from Newport Beach,

0:05.2

California, and I am so happy you tuned into the show today. I want to tell you a story about when

0:12.4

I literally handed my haters an excuse to trash me like an empty bag of Doritos. Okay, sure,

0:19.7

I made an itsy bitty teeny winy mistake and I'm going to tell you about that in a second,

0:26.1

but I need to get through this cringe fest right about now.

0:43.8

So, it wasn't that long ago that I really struggled to show up online as my weird awkward self.

0:51.2

I had a hard time speaking in my authentic voice and I really wanted to share my expertise with

0:56.8

my tribe, but it was a real struggle. I carried so much doubt, so much doubt that I probably could

1:37.1

I did talk, I'd spread on the peanut butter swirl too thick. I'd fumble over my words in panic

1:43.6

and there is a true story coming at you in a second. And to top this off with sprinkles,

1:49.0

I'd question myself constantly and asked, who am I to teach? I had just started being a photographer.

1:56.8

I was just shooting and I was still really new. So who would want to learn from me? It wasn't until

2:03.7

I committed to putting my followers first when I thought about other people and I said,

2:09.2

how can my business be in a place of service to? They finally got over my fears,

2:13.6

my doubts and most importantly, I got over myself. So I pointed to my fancy camera and I was like,

2:21.3

oh, hey, this is my 50 millimeter 1.6 lens. And guess what, buttercup? There's no such thing
