The fear of God. You don't hear much about the fear of the Lord anymore.

Believers used to be called God-fearing men and women, but Pastor Greg Laurie says

some misunderstand and take it the wrong way.

When we talk about the fear of God, it doesn't mean cowering in fear before God.

Like, oh God, don't get me, don't be me. That's not the fear of God.

Take out the word fear, put another in.

The respect for God.

The reverence for God.

The awe of God.

The honor of God.

When we fear God, we serve God.

When we fear God, we obey God.

When we fear God, we don't need to fear much else.
