Well, we have shared quite a bit about micro Greens this week with Jonah Krocmanek, who's the

0:17.9

founder of Living Earth Farm, but one thing we haven't shared yet, Jonah, let's say someone's

0:21.3

just jazz, they're excited, they're down to grow and maybe even do a little business thing, but they actually don't know how to grow micro-greens, which we've both been in those shoes.

0:29.3

How would you advise someone to get started and I'll just let you rip here because you know better than anyone?

0:35.6

Yeah, for sure. So I can just go quickly over the growing process and what you really need to start.

0:40.9

So it's pretty simple, which is nice and it's not going to cost you a whole lot of money to get started.

0:45.2

So the things you need are growlites, somewhere to hang the growlites. So I usually recommend a shellman unit because you can grow a lot and store other stuff there but that's kind of optional.

0:54.1

You need the seed. So if you're going to grow the four easiest ones, pea, broccoli, kale and radish,

germanation trays with holes and germination trays without holes so that that's really the bare bones basic that you need. There are other kind of

1:15.2

optional items you can add in like a Wi-Fi timer so that you don't have to turn the

1:18.7

lights on and off every day. But that's all you really need to grow, which is nice.

1:23.0

So for a few hundred bucks, you can get everything you need and be able to grow a lot of

1:27.8

microns in a small amount of space, which is really cool.

1:31.4

In terms of the process, pretty much it would start with filling the

1:36.8

trays with the soil. So you would want to have some sort of bucket which most people

1:40.8

have at home or tote where you can mix the fertilizer with the soil which is

1:44.9

creating the super salt and making sure that you have a really high quality microrene product for you to consume

1:50.0

because you're going to get that benefit of having that higher nutrition.

1:53.0

So you're going to put that soil in the tray.

1:55.0

You're going to measure out the seed.

1:57.0

And again, in the growing guide, it has the step-by-step instructions
