Allias, a plant that I honestly never really considered growing for quite some time until

0:08.0

this year when we got a special delivery of like dozens of pounds of dolly tubers and

0:16.6

turned the backyard into a mini dolly farm.

0:19.8

So we have Rachel Napis back on the show Urban Flower Farmer based in San Diego, California,

0:24.8

1:18.4

1:20.6

But they can also be grown from seeds, but if you grow them from a seed, you will not

1:26.2

know the genetics of that dolly, so you won't know if that's really even a viable flower

1:34.5

or the color or the shape or it'll be basically a mystery and a surprise.

1:40.5

So some people like to do that.

1:42.5

I think they're best grown from tubers because you know what you're getting and the tubers
