If you have ever been to an Asian market like myself, you've probably seen an interesting

looking melon, the bitter melon, which just has a very unique appearance, often very

sort of ripply or sort of with bubbles almost looking like on the surface of the skin.

And I will have to admit, I mean, this is not a vegetable that I grew up with, you know,

my grandfather didn't cook bitter melon ever, although I know it is something that is eaten

in Filipino cuisine from time to time, but I never ate it.

And so, you know, I'm excited, regime to talk to you, again, regime from Asian Garden

to Table is on the podcast this week, because not only have I probably never eaten it, unless

I did an addition, I don't remember, you know, but not on purpose, I didn't never seek

it out.

And I've also never grown it.

So I'm curious, first of all, regime, you were mentioning, it's, you know, it's a plant

that people seem to either really love or really not love.

What does it taste like to you?

Oh, it tastes bitter, it's why I call it bitter melon.
