This week is the sixth week of the year, the sixth week in the catechism. And this week's question is,

how can we glorify God? How can we glorify God? The last couple weeks we've been talking about

what did God create and what does that mean and who are we in God? What's our identity?

This question is how can we glorify God? We talk about it all the time. We want to bring God

glory. We want to do things for the glory of God.

What does that even mean? What does it look like to practically from what we eat to how we live,

to what we do for work, glorify God. I'm glad you asked. Let's get into it. I'll start with an

illustration from my own life and then I'll give an illustration from scripture. Sound good? Okay. So today in the car,

I was talking to my daughter and I said to her, how come you're so beautiful? She said back to me,

because I love you, because I love you. That answer doesn't really make sense, but it gets across

the message of what she wanted me to hear. And that was she loves me. Now,

was she telling me that because I just wanted to hear that? Was she telling me that because

she was trying to avoid some kind of punishment? Of course not. We were at the park. We're

riding bikes. We're having a good time. She came to the car for a water break. I just looked at how

beautiful she looked in that moment.

And I just said to her, how come you're so beautiful? I was awestruck by her beauty. And
