Today we continue our journey with Jesus.

Mark Chapter 11 is actually one of the truly great prayer chapters of the Bible, and it's

often missed in this way. We see the history, Jesus moving into Jerusalem on his way to the

cross, and yet it is as he approaches the end that he begins teaching so many of the deep truths about prayer.

As a matter of fact, in Mark chapter 11, he's going to give both an instruction about prayer and an illustration

concerning prayer.

Let's look at it for just a moment.

In Mark chapter number 11, you'll remember that Jesus has entered his triumphal entry into the city.

And when he comes, the Bible says in verse 11,

and Jesus entered into Jerusalem and into the temple.

And when he looked roundabout upon all things, and now the even tide was come, he went

out unto Bethany with the 12.

Now, he's coming back to the temple, and when he comes back, it's not going to be such

a quiet visit.

As a matter of fact, when he returns to the temple in just a few verses, he's going to really stir

things up.

But let me point out to you that when he came into the city, he goes to the temple.

His desire is not to set up some political kingdom, not to get some throne physically to sit on.
