Welcome to the InTouch podcast with Charles Stanley for Friday, February 6th. When you feel like you're missing something, it's easy to try to fix it yourself. Today's podcast challenges you to trust God's timing and learn how to have your needs met the Lord's Way. If I should ask you what are your needs, some of you give me a long list,

0:22.2

some of you give me a short list, but the important thing is not what our needs are, but how do you

0:26.8

get them met? And remember this, the bottom line of all sin is trying to get my needs met

0:36.4

independently of God's way and God's timing. All sin in essence is

0:42.4

trying to get my needs met independently of God's way, God's method, and God's timing. So it's not a

0:48.6

question of what needs we have because God knows all about those, but how do we get our needs met?

0:55.7

So I want you to turn,

anxiety. But in this passage is an answer that once you settle the issue of how

1:14.5

you're going to get your needs met, God will begin to work in your life in a very unusual way.

1:19.8

So he says beginning in verse 25, for this reason I say to you, do not be anxious for your life

1:25.8

as to what you shall eat, what you shall drink,

1:28.5

nor for your body as to what you shall put on.

1:31.0

Is not life more than food and the body than clothing?

1:34.7

Look at the birds of the air.

1:36.5

They do not sow, neither do they reap nor gather in the barns,

1:39.4

and yet your heavenly father feeds them.

1:41.7

Are you not worth much more than they?

1:46.0

And which of you, by being anxious,

1:52.5

can add a single cubit to his lifespan? And why are you anxious about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow. They do not toil, nor do they spend. Yet I said to you that even Solomon

1:58.2

in all of his glory did not clothe himself like one of these,
