I'm Ryan Holiday, and I draw these lessons from ancient philosophy, modern psychology, practical wisdom, and insights from

How to get them to read or do anything. We want our kids to read. We want them to read instead of watching so much TV or playing with the iPad, so we make up rules or create incentives to motivate them to pick up a book. 1:43.2

a better reader, we designed this Daily Stoic Challenge, or a course recently called the Daily Stoic Read to Lead challenge, as Truman said, not all readers are leaders, but all leaders have to be readers.

1:55.3

That's the idea. How can you be a better reader? How can you get serious about this thing? How can you access all the wisdom

2:01.3

that's out there in the world? How can you build a reading practice? And we built this awesome

2:04.9

challenge. It's built off my reading practice, but also the practices of Seneca and Marks

2:08.9

and all the Stoics, plus other wise figures from history. And this is a live course. It's going to

2:14.8

start on Monday, May 17th. We all move this course together at the same

2:20.7

time. Registration is now officially open, but registration will close on Sunday, May 16th. At midnight,
