chocolate for the original Toll House cookie.

And it wasn't until a baking company got involved with her that chocolate chips were even invented.

So it's really interesting to think that like chocolate chunks are the original toolhouse cookie recipe.

And I'm Megan. Today we're talking about chocolate chip cookies.

We wanted to make sure to inject a little bit of food joy into this weird time of year for feeding our families. We're back to school. It's super busy with sports and back to school nights and getting ready for a trick

or treating if that's your deal. But we're not yet in the holiday madness that is surely right

around the corner. Oh, and I'm so glad you brought up the holidays. I have a feeling it's going to

come up in this episode. We've done lots of deep dive episodes on dinner recipes and like singular things, like

nachos or soup.

But I don't think we've done a deep dive baking episode like this where we've taken one thing.

The chocolate, I was going to say the humble chocolate chip cookie, but honestly, it is not humble. It is the

queen of all cookies. So I'm really excited to dig into this. Before we dig in, if you guys have

missed the last couple of episodes, we want to make sure that you know we are pausing production

on new episodes of, didn't I just Feed You indefinitely after October 31st.

So we're still sorting out some details.

We'll definitely keep you all in the loop here on this feed.
