Summary

How important is it to “Cancel” negative thoughts? Scientists say we have between 12,000 to 50,000 thoughts in a day, and our mind takes the negative approach to things 70% of the time. Globally speaking, since we must use our free will to connect to source or goodness, your mind, naturally, thinks about what you don’t have, what you can’t do. Not to get too scientific and I am in no way a biology expert, but I learned that the amygdala in the brain modulates the release of cortisol and other stress hormones, creating anxiety and fear. Anxiety is created by the unknown and other future-based factors, and is the usual cause of the cortisol release. Like a high-octane drink, cortisol gives us the energy jolt needed to overcome an emergency, but everything in life seemingly has become an emergency. Our brains now keep us on DEFCOM 5 alert with constant cortisol production resulting in serious health problems like high blood pressure and glucose levels. Even more damaging is the negative energy it attracts. Common sense tells us that chain drinking high-octane beverages will prove to be detrimental to our health. Similarly, we need to tell our brains to stop producing excessive levels of cortisol and start producing serotonin, which does all kinds of wonderful things for creativity, happiness and health. This is the scientific reason why we need to turn our thoughts around and make them positive and clear. This will reduce your anxiety and keep you open to learning. Learn more about your ad choices.
