I'm going to give a short introduction to who you are prior to this coming on.

But in the meantime, where are you at in your life right now?

Can you give me a little, just a little picture of what you're doing these days?

Yeah, actually, I am in Houston, Texas.

I work at the Public Defender's Office.

I'm the director of community outreacher.

I'm a published book author, so just like you, I published my book called Infinite Hope.

I'm an advocate for criminal justice reform.

I travel around the country.

I share my story.

I've testified in front of Congress, testified in front of the Senate about solitary confinement, have a documentary out called Grave Injustice, which we won an Emmy Award for. I do a plethora of things around

criminal justice and criminal justice reform. I've dedicated my life to it. So that's why I'm in

today. Awesome.

Well, I want to get into a few things with you.

I think that very clearly, I think two things that we should talk about is solitary confinement and death row, the death penalty.

So, you know, you were in prison for 18 years, 18 years on death row, the death penalty. So, you know, you, you were in prison for 18 years, 18 years on death row, 12 of those years were spent in solitary confinement. Is that correct? So let me correct.

I was 18 and a half years. I spent 12 and a half years. That matters. Yeah, that was a little bit more

money. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Good call.
