After that first book, it only gets harder.

To which I generally then received wall-eyed stares of panic in response.

However, I'm happy to now be able to amend that statement.

Writing does get harder when you first start out running on nothing but instinct and enthusiasm

writing is nothing but fun and easy and then you start learning the principles of the craft and things get overwhelming fast.

You get difficult and sometimes even down right depressing as you struggle to have your execution

measure up to your new understanding of how you want things to be.

Just here within the last few years, I feel like I've turned an amazing corner in my

Honestly, sometimes I just want to look up from my writing and laugh maniacally like the

Emperor in Star Wars and talk about how I can feel the force flowing through me.
