Let's talk about a subject that I think can be sticky for so many of us and that subject

is developing relationship with other women and specifically mentorship type relationship

with other women, women who are older than us, women who are younger than us, rather

than just with our peers and really having depth in our relationships and doing life

together in an organic way, not any structured or stiff or overly churchy way, but just

in a relational and organic and healthy way.

And so for this conversation and to dig into the subject, I invited my friend Lisa Bevere,

who also really serves as a voice and a mentor in my life.

She actually recently just wrote a book called Godmothers, Why You Need One and How to Be

And we talked about how this can be both biological mothers in our life and it can also be other

women that we've, whether it's an aunt or a friend or someone that we got to know through

our work, it doesn't only have to be your true biological mother to have these mentors

in your life that are guiding you and speaking into you.

And I really think she has a healthy and powerful perspective on this and gives us some really

great practical steps we can take if we are longing for those types of relationships in

our life or maybe have some relationships like that but want to deepen them and strengthen

them through either challenges or hardships or suffering or other things life can throw
