hearts of a lot of sewists, which is zippers. So we're going to cover why zippers feel so much

harder than they actually are, the common mistakes that lead to most zipper frustration,

and some mindset shifts and practical tips that will help you approach your next zipper with real

confidence. All right, let's get to our icebreaker, Haley. Tell me about a sewing technique that

you put off trying for way too long and what finally got you to go for it and then tell me how it

turned out. Okay. So when I was learning how to sew, I learned how to do buttonholes on an industrial sewing machine.

I learned how to do all of my sewing on industrial sewing machines.

And industrial buttonholers are, the one that I worked on was very old, very finicky.

And they're kind of very, they're pretty finicky machines in general.

I was traumatized by this machine. And so when I started sewing on a domestic sewing machine,

I put off sewing buttons first, like buttonholes for so long. Because I had,

your trauma. buttonhole trauma.

I had some like low-key trauma around buttonholes.

And my sewing machine has an automatic buttonholer.

Like literally, when I finally tried it, I was like, this is...

So silly, because it's doing everything for me.
