And we're the greatest country in the world.

And we have to reclaim that.

And we can't be like at each other's throats.

We have to be on Team America.

And we're better than this.

Usually we do Wild Card Wednesday, but today, this is too

important. We are giving thanks, as always, for everything that we have in this country. And yes,

do some people have more than others? Of course, that's the way of the world. Life is not fair.

Nor would we want everyone to be exactly the same. It would be very uninteresting, but we do want

people to be able to talk to each other. And that's where an organization called Braver Angels

comes in. And they have written a book that I'm going to strongly recommend to everybody.

It's called Beyond the Politics of Contempt, practical steps to build positive relationships

in divided times. Chances are on Thanksgiving, you're going to be talking to people that you don't

have everything in common with. Maybe you are politically divergent. But does that mean that that

human being is worthless to you, is worthless in the scheme of life, is not

important in the picture of America. No, we need to cross these divides and we need to do it
