Summary

I’m not a huge fan of the idea of “the One” (except Neo, obviously). Nevertheless, I’m often asked, “How did you know your wife was the right one?” So let’s break it down. Listen in for some of the things I’ve learned that are incredibly important when looking for the ideal partner. Did you enjoy the podcast? All right, welcome to The Man Talk Show. I'm Connor Beaton.

0:04.2

And today we're going to be answering a question that I get all the time from men through

0:09.3

Instagram, through Facebook, and the one-on-one work that I do with guys.

0:14.0

And that question comes down to how do I know if she's the one?

0:18.0

And, you know, first I just want to preface this by saying that I don't necessarily

0:22.8

believe in the one as a concept. I think that we in our modern day sort of post-romantic society

0:32.7

1:14.1

And on the other side of that, both people find partners inevitably, whether it's, you know,

1:18.9

a couple months later or a couple of years later, where they find a kind of relationship

1:26.4

in that new relationship that actually supersedes the previous one,

1:31.1

that actually outshines the previous one because there's sort of a limitation to how we can see

1:38.4

that relationship. And look, I think one of the challenges is that we're all looking for a connection.

1:44.0

Men and women alike, however you identify, whatever your sexual orientation is, everyone's looking for connection.

1:49.8

Everyone wants to find a home in the world, in some capacity, a home within the context of a relationship.

1:58.6

And so it's quite normal for us to look for that one. But I get to ask

2:04.1

the question all the time, how did you know that your wife was the one? And so this little list
