What does it mean to say that someone is deconstructing their faith? Can that be a good thing? Or is that the first step towards someone eventually abandoning their faith?

How do you help someone re-examine their faith but to do it in a

constructive way? When answer these questions in more with my co-host, Sean McDowell, who's co-author

I need to put you on the hot seat like I don't always get to do. When you said host, I almost jumped in and said, and co-host, I had to restrain myself.

Appreciate you doing that. John, welcome, great to have you you with us John's been a colleague at

Talbot for many many years he's taught apologetics in our philosophy program

for a long time taught church society for me on several occasions the author of five books on this subject of people who are

deconstruct in their face. So Sean why don't you start with you. Why did you and

John set out to write this book and why is this why is

issue so important to you? Well I got to give John the credit for the idea for this

book he's written four other books on deconstruction that I've read we've talked about on

deconstruction I consider him the expert he's done a lot of the hard work five

six seven years just

writing his coat tail.
