In today's episode, I'm going to help you brainstorm some ideas for finding places

for everything in your home. In case you're new to the show, this is usually a step-by-step

show where I talk you through the process of cleaning an area of your home or organizing an area of your home.

This episode is going to be more of a topical episode, and I do this once in a while,

where I just give you tons of information, food for thought, so to speak, and give you some ideas for a future organization

sessions. So while I do encourage you to be productive during the episode, maybe, you know,

maybe you could wash dishes, do laundry, wash windows, or even actually organize an area, this is not going to be a

step-by-step instructional episode. So let's get right into it. Now, when you're organizing your home,

the first step, and we all know this, is decluttering in the sense of downsizing or getting rid of stuff.

Before you organize an area, you're going to want to be honest with yourself about what you should keep and what you should not keep. Because let's face it,

we're all limited on space and we need to make decisions. I mean, we don't want to, you know,

our house to look like a hoarder house. We need to make decisions on what to keep and what to get rid of. So kind of the method for doing that

is the box or bag method. You're going to want to have some categories. Trash, donate,

relocate, and put back. And you might go into more categories even than that, but those are

kind of the main categories. Okay, for example, a lot of times I'll use a black trash bag for

trash and then a white kitchen bag for stuff that I plan to donate, and then maybe a laundry

basket for things that I'm going to relocate around the house.
