Welcome back to the Deepen podcast, and I want to start by saying thanks for listening to everybody

and or watching if you watch because, as Pastor W., you might want to add to this, but

the heart behind this podcast is that folks would have a chance to deepen their relationship

with Jesus. And if you're doing that, then that's, then we're winning, right?

Amen. Yeah, that's what this is for. This isn't like a normal podcast. This is just Bible study with us.

And I also want to thank you, Pastor Joby, for an incredible message tonight and pushing through some pain

and a cough that, man, it was just so great and a fantastic message.

I mean, how much of that was, I mean, I felt like there's a lot of it that you were just like,

you just had a fire in there that you had to get out there that, I don't know, was it off,

was it off notes for a few moments?

Yeah, I mean, there was a lot of pin up, you know, I've been off for a few weeks yeah i mean there was a lot of pin up you know i've been off

exactly what i said for a few weeks two weeks of pent up preaching and i wrote sermons the last two weeks

too so i've got i've got a shield of faith and a helmet of salvation sermon um you got to get it

out of your system yeah next week i will throw in my version of the Shield of Faith. Yeah. You know. You've preached on the Matthew 4. Mm-hmm. It's actually a chapter in if the tomb is empty. Mm-hmm. Yes. But I feel like every time you preach it, it's a slightly different angle at it because it's inside of a different

context, maybe. Here's what I'm trying to do. There's one thing to teach the Bible. I love to teach the

Bible. Occasionally, I want to teach people how to read the Bible, which is different. And, you know,

so I think we were in seven different passages maybe.

And the idea, what I'm trying to get people is a lens from the very beginning to the end of how to walk in the victory that Jesus has already purchased for you in regards to your particular spiritual warfare and overcoming temptation and sin.
