And I am JD and we're so excited to tackle another topic with you guys this week.

Miss Laura, what are we talking about today?

Yeah, today we are talking about how to handle grief and loss and all things that happen in the heart and in the mind when you've lost somebody.

And JD, I know that that's actually part of your story so I would love to just start off by hearing about that.

I know some people know, some people have asked to hear from you to even just help their own struggle with that but just tell us what happened for those of us who don't know.

Yeah, I've talked about bits and pieces at the porch and on different things but my dad was my pastor, a great dad, my best friend, just an amazing father figure.

And I was just very fortunate to grow up with a really good dad.

And I don't know where he was healthy, he was vibrant, he was so just hilarious outgoing.

Everyone like, he was a kind of dad to all your friends.

Like, it wasn't worth coming to your house unless your dad and mom were there.

Like he was like, are you dad going to be there?

Yeah, he's so awesome.

Yeah, they wanted to be around my dad more than me at times.

And I loved that.

And he was a father to the violinist, just I love honoring him because he was such a good dad.

But when I was in college, my sophomore year of college out of nowhere, my parents were in Africa doing nonprofit work there and I get a call
