Disappointment is an accurate response to disappointing things in a disappointing world.

If you expect everyone in your life to be perfect, you will never get to enjoy any of the imperfect people in your life.

As long as you live, as long as I live in an imperfect world, we will find ourselves disappointed by situations caused by imperfect circumstances.

So as we talk about today's topic,

I'm pretty sure there are going to be a few who say, I need prayer in this area of my life.

I think this conversation is a really good way to end the year. This is the last solo episode of 2024.

And, you know, when we start a new year, oftentimes we start with great expectation. And sometimes,

when we come to the end of a year, we can be left with a lot of disappointment.

And so I want to enter this conversation very gently and lovingly, but also to bring in truth and the light of God into the darkness of anyone's disappointment.

So let's pray.

Let's open ourselves up to the spirit of the living God because I assure you there is at least one area in your life where he wants to cut on you to make more room for him.
