devotional. Hey, it's Friday on the Daily Drive. My name is bro, and we are wrapping up our week of

looking at the life of a guy named Nehemiah and highlighting some of the ways

he was able to lead people so effectively. Let me just remind you a bit of what we've seen

along the way. We've learned that great leaders have their courage to stare reality in the face.

They don't sugarcoat things. They don't live in denial of the problem. They're honest about

the current reality.

And on top of that, they carry a burden to change that reality. They're able to see what could

be. As Neomya walks into this major fixer-upper project, he was able to see the amazing potential

and was also able to cast vision and rally people and put together this united

team to tackle this project that other people said could not be done. He empowers them,

he releases them, he appreciates them, and not only that, he rolls up his sleeves and works

alongside of them. He wasn't just the supervisor with the plan in his head. He was a

servant leader with calluses on his hands. And he was able to bring out the best in the team,

and when all was said and done, he deflected all the credit to their God. So many other things

stand out to me about the leadership of Nehimae as you read his story, the way

he defends the weak and stands up for the oppressed, the way he leads with integrity and honesty,

the way he handles external and internal criticism and just stays focused on the task at hand,
