Hello, hello, welcome to the Savvy Painter Podcast.

I am super excited to talk to you today about clarity and focus. I know this is something that a lot of artists are looking for because it is so helpful in your practice.

So that is what we're going to focus on this week for the podcast.

I know so often from talking to a lot of you that we really

really want an art practice that is stable and dependable and that you feel like when you go in there you know what you're doing and you're not like there's no confusion about what you're working on or what your next steps are.

But the problem is oftentimes artists feel scattered and all over the place. Like you have a

hundred irons in the fire and all these half finished paintings and projects all over the place and you're

feeling overwhelmed by all the choices and all the things that you think need to be done right here right now. So you do things like you start

working on a painting, you get distracted by another, you jump to that, and nothing gets done. So today I want to help you sort all of that out and get some clarity because when you are clear on where you want to go with your art, a lot of the confusion, the second guessing, and the indecision can be eliminated, and you get to take all of that time and energy that you before had maybe spent in that, not really sure what I'm doing should I do this or that or even

while you're painting not really clear on what it is that you want to do achieve you can take

all of the energy and put it on the thing that you do want to create.

So I want to invite you to take a few seconds to answer this question.

Jot it down if you have a notebook candy, or a sketchbook candy. If not, that's okay, just

answer it in your head. But what I want you to think about is, what are the things that you're working on right now and then on a scale of

zero to ten how much do you agree with this statement I am confident and clear in

what I want with my art practice and I know what my next

best step is.

So think about that statement.
