I want to start by talking about the importance of Pride Month, and why learning how to cope

So first, I wanted to discuss one reason why Pride Month and other celebrations of marginalized

groups are so important, and this reason is social identity threat.

So social identity threat is a threat someone experiences when they believe they're going

to be treated negatively by others because of their social identity.

That being gender, sexuality, race, or religion.
