Summary

We live in a world of people accustomed to depending on themselves and their own abilities. As born-again believers, however, we are called to live godly; this requires total dependence on God. A godly lifestyle is free from doubting His wisdom, love, goodness, and provision. Unlike what religion teaches, this means to have faith in Him, and not in what we know intellectually. We apply this in a practical way when we deliberately seek God’s will and let it govern our lives and everything we do. A godly lifestyle also involves regular prayer as well as an attitude of thanksgiving. Letting God set us aside for His purpose constantly reminds us of how much we rely on Him daily.

0:19.0	If you have your Bibles, go with me to the book of Titus chapter 2, Titus chapter 2 and verse 11 through 13.
0:29.9	This is our text.
0:32.0	We have been doing a series in teaching on how grace teaches us
0:35.8	godliness. Titus chapter 2, verse 11 says this for the grace of God has
0:43.0	bring its salvation hath appeared to all men.
0:46.0	This grace is made available to everybody that's on the planet.
0:51.0	He says, verse 12 though, teaching us now because grace has been made
0:56.7	available to everybody if you don't believe it you don't you don't receive
1:00.0	it. Somebody says how did you do that that? When you receive Jesus, is full of
1:04.8	grace and truth. You receive Jesus, you receive that grace. And just because
1:09.3	it's made available for everybody, it doesn't mean everybody's received it. But now the Bible says those who have believed
1:14.8	and received this grace, then grace now will teach you. Other people just
1:21.5	see grace is love and they see it as unmerited favor and
1:26.8	we see it as as someone who teaches us. Grace will teach us that denying or refusing ungodliness, now ungodliness is when you have no regard for God at all, you know?
1:39.0	You can be a Christian and still disregard God, you see.
1:42.0	He says, but Grace will teach you to refuse ungodliness, refuse worldly
1:46.1	lust, and that we should live soberly and righteously and that Grace will teach us how to live
1:52.0	Godly in this present world.
