0:28.7	You are just so excited and delighted that you have joined us this week for one of the topics that Samantha and I love the most to talk and teach about, and that is cleansing and charging crystals.

0:39.4	from you folks about as well. So we hope that this episode will really be helpful to you. Samantha,
0:45.4	you want to start us off? Sure, Deb. So I thought it would be a good idea to give a basic
0:51.2	overview of what crystals are and how they work before we get into why you need
0:57.1	to cleanse and charge them. So as we know, crystals work because they have either pyroelectric
1:02.7	or piezoelectric properties. When pressure is applied to a piezoelectric crystal, an electric
1:09.1	current is created, which I think is so cool.
1:12.2	This piezoelectric effect means pressure creates an electric field around the crystal.
1:18.9	Now, with pyroelectric crystals, they generate a polarizing charge as a result of being heated or cool.
1:26.6	An example of a pyroelectric crystal is tourmaline.
1:29.8	And guess what another example of a pyroelectric crystal is, Deb?
1:33.8	What?
1:34.7	Cain sugar.
