Sure, Deb. So I thought it would be a good idea to just kind of give a basic overview of what crystals are and how they work before we get into why you need to cleanse and charge them.

So as we know, crystals work because they have either a pyroelectric or a piezoelectric properties.

When pressure is applied to a piezoelectric crystal, an electric current is created, which I think is so cool.

This piezoelectric effect means pressure creates an electric field around the crystal.

Now with pyroelectric crystals, they generate a polarizing charge as a result of being heated or cool.

An example of a pyroelectric crystal is tourmaline.
