Summary

Clean your house in under two hours while listening to this thorough house cleaning episode. This one is more of a deep clean that you will complete in less than two hours. Does hand washing use more water than the dishwasher? Listen to find out. Why are you storing cereal on top of the fridge? Why are you keeping items that cause you anxiety? Let’s correct those common clutter problems in your home. Should you label drawers or containers that only you use? I do! Find out why. I also respond to a question about my thoughts on Marie Kondo’s book and the Konmari method. Making another two-hour episode was a lot of work, but it was a labor of love! Thank you for all of the positive feedback!

Hi everyone, Ronnie here. You're listening to Clean with me, the podcast where I talk you through

0:10.9

cleaning your house. Thanks for joining me. This is episode 104, and this episode is going to be another two-hour cleaning marathon. In case you're

0:24.3

new to the show, most of my episodes are approximately one hour long, but a lot of you have

0:31.4

written in to tell me that you're listening to the two-hour episode again and again. So I decided to go ahead and make another one.

0:40.9

If you're wanting to do a lighter cleaning session, then click out of this and click on one of my

0:47.6

other episodes that is shorter. But this is going to be a two-hour cleaning marathon.

0:56.0

The first thing I want you to do is gear up for your cleaning session.

1:01.5

You're going to want to do a few things during this time.

1:04.0

You're going to want to maybe light a candle or turn on a wax warmer,

1:16.6

maybe take out your kitchen trash or other waste baskets from around the house. And of course you're going to want to get your machines running.

1:20.6

If you have a dishwasher and a washing machine, you're going to want to get those running.

1:25.6

And since this is a two-hour cleaning session,

1:28.9

you might want to put your bedding in that washing machine load. I have kind of a large

1:34.4

capacity washing machine to where if I'm doing the bedding on one of my kids' beds,

1:40.6

I'm able to wash their sheets, pillowcase, and comforter in the same load.

1:45.5

That might not be the case for you, but I encourage you to do a load of bedding,

1:50.1

unless there's something else more pressing that you need to wash first.

1:53.5

But this would be a great episode to listen to if you're doing a very thorough clean,

2:03.6

which often includes clean bedding.

2:10.8

So go ahead and get that load of laundry started, whatever you decided to wash, but of course you might be stripping a bed. And then the other machine I'm referring to is your dishwasher.

2:18.7

And those of you who don't have a working dishwasher will probably want to pre-wrench, but

2:25.2

you have dirty dishes, I'm assuming you do, pre-wrench those dishes and get a sink load going,
