It's no secret around here that I'm not a big fan of winter.

At this very moment I'm wearing fingerless knit typing gloves and have

toasty toes hot packs stuffed into my wool socks and felt-lined slippers. But there is something about writing in the winter. When the days are

gray outside and postury with snow, I somehow feel more sequestered within the

circle of light at my desk while I write.

It's like the outside distractions are muffled around me.

Maybe that's why my productivity always goes up in the winter.

I've always thought it was because summer is just naturally a

busier time of the year. But I'm also beginning to think my focus is just more solid during

this time of the year. Or maybe I'm just looking for a silver lining

and it'll last me until April.

before the release of my Dieselpunk novel Storming on December 4th.
