David owns 25 properties.

Some of them he owns personally, and some of them he owns as part of a nonprofit that he

runs, where he buys distressed properties in rough neighborhoods.

He fixes them up and he rents them out with the hopes of trying to improve the neighborhood.

So, David, why don't we start with you telling us a little bit about yourself and how you got here today?

Yeah, so I'm an IT consultant by profession.

And several years ago, probably at this point, seven or eight years ago I had a client that

was buying up foreclosures and I noticed their business was booming because I started off just

servicing a couple little desktops then they built a building and they added a server and a phone

system and more workstations so eventually I said what are you guys doing and they added a server and a phone system and more workstations.

So eventually I said, what are you guys doing?

And they explained to me that they were buying up REOs and rehabbing them and holding them as rentals.

And I said, wow, that sounds pretty cool. I think I'd like to do that.
