Having disarmed principalities and powers, he made a public spectacle of them triumphing over them in it.

Paul is reminding us here that when Jesus was raised from the dead,

he took all power away from the devil. The devil has no power. The only authority the devil has is the authority that we let him have.

The only authority the devil has is the authority he's stolen from believers.

He's been disarmed and not only has he been disarmed,

Jesus made a public spectacle.

When Jesus was resurrected, he took the devil and every demon in hell and paraded them through the

heavenlies and said, this man has no more authority, he's a loser and he's been assigned to

hell. And every angel knows it and every demon knows it he just wants to bet that you don't know it
