Today is the beginning of my second week of teaching from Matthew chapter 14 about Peter walking on the water.

And I've got this teaching in book form entitled How to Become a Water Walker.

I've got it in English and in Spanish.

We have a study guide that is the same material but it's just made so that you can teach other people.

We have CDs and DVDs and we are also offering my Life for the Day Gospels edition which is the four Gospels put into a format where you have all of the Gospels comments on one instance together.

And I tell you there's just a lot of revelation you can get by having all four accounts of one instance right here on one page.

And it's got I think 1300 footnotes of mine in this and it's like 2000 references and marginal notes.

It's really a blessing. So anyway, that's what we're offering on our programs this week.

I've already covered a lot of material but the Lord just showed me these things out of Matthew chapter 14 one time all in one day.

This passage of Scripture just lit me up and I went and in one day's time made three hours worth of teaching on this and that's in that CD and DVD set that we're offering.

So I've already covered a lot of material a lot. I really hate to just jump into this without going back through it but I want to finish the rest of it.

So the disciples were compelled to get into a ship and go to the other side that word compelled means that it took some encouragement on the Lord's part.

There was resistance on the disciples part but they went ahead and obeyed. They did it and yet they ran into trouble.

They ran into wind being contrary to them and just because you're doing what Jesus tells you to do does not mean you won't have trouble.

I've talked about all of that and it was only a two hour trip across the entire sea of Galilee and nine hours later they had only covered half of that distance.

So this was a crisis situation. They could have just turned around and have headed back to the shore and the wind was blowing so hard it would have blown them back to safety in a short period of time.
