0:22.8	but we have a new guest on today. For the first time Rachel Tancock, she's a naturalist
0:27.2	and content creator who, I believe Rachel, I initially found you on TikTok and then Instagram.
0:33.1	And what I really liked is you were doing stuff that, you know, I'm in the garden, I'm
0:36.7	doing a lot of edible growing and you were out in the wild showcasing species I hadn't
0:41.5	seen and facts about them that I just really didn't know because, you know, I'm here growing
0:46.5	in my backyard and so it's great to have you on the show.

0:51.8	So how did you get into the world of becoming a naturalist or maybe we start with what
0:58.0	is a naturalist?
0:59.6	Yeah, so a naturalist is, it's a very broad term which I really like about it because
1:05.9	you can kind of like lots of different people can call themselves a naturalist. So it's
1:10.6	essentially someone who loves nature. So you don't have to be a scientist, you don't
1:16.4	have to be an expert, you just need to have a curiosity for nature and just a drive to
1:22.2	always kind of keep learning more and share your knowledge as well. So it can, yeah, there's
1:30.4	a big kind of breadth of what a naturalist is but basically it's just someone who loves
1:34.4	nature and you're a nature nerd.
1:36.1	Yeah, that's the thing that I guess I didn't know the true definition before I spoke to
1:41.8	David Misjuski like I mentioned and that was to me it felt very liberating. I was like,
1:45.8	okay, well, if I enjoy nature, I simply am a naturalist. I have to go get a credential
1:50.0	or a degree of some kind and it does feel like in the earliest, earliest days, some of
