Hi everyone it's Leslie Ludi host of the Set-A-Part Girl Podcast, Biblical Encouragement for Women of All Ages.

Today we're going to be talking about how to become a discerning woman, no matter what age or season of life you're in. Have you ever felt bombarded by all of the confusing and

contradictory thoughts and ideas that come at us in modern Christianity? I know I have.

One minute we're hearing about the

importance of prayer and holy living and the next we're being told that we

should just focus on receiving God's love and not change anything about our daily

lives. One minute we're told that Jesus is the only

way to the Father and the next we're hearing that Buddhist, Muslims, and Hindus can also find

God through their religions. We live in a postmodern world where truth and lies so often

coexist together and the subtle lies that are out there are often glamorized

or spiritualized to the point where it's hard to know really

what's true and what's not.

And so the question is how can we have discernment in such a time as this. There are a few key scriptures that I would like

to start with. One is from Acts 2028 and it's towards the end of Paul's ministry and he's speaking to the believers

and warning them he says from among yourselves men will rise up speaking perverse

things to draw the disciples after themselves.

Therefore, watch and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.

That verse really stands out to me because here is Paul and knowing that it's

towards the end of his earthly ministry is warning the disciples night and day with tears

about this danger from among the church it says

from among yourselves men will rise up speaking perverse things with the goal of

drawing the disciples away.
