Hey, everybody. Before we get into this week's episode, I just want to let you know that we recorded this conversation and the intro that precedes it before the devastating wildfires that just hit Los Angeles last week.

Now, the conversation is still quite timely because it is about climate change and our response to it.

And that's important because these wildfires were caused by climate change. So I think you're

going to enjoy the conversation. But if you're wondering why we don't discuss the wildfires

directly in the conversation, that is why. Now, this Friday, we are going to have an emergency

episode come out. I'm going to have a

conversation with Daniel Swain, the wonderful Southern California climatologist who's going to

explain why the wildfires happened, dispel misconceptions about them, and talk about the path going

forward. So look for that later in the week. In the meantime, if you would like to support the victims
