Hello and welcome back to practicing human the podcast where every day we're

0:04.9

getting a little better at life. I'm your host Cory Muscara and in today's

0:09.9

episode we're going to talk about meeting people in their pain and confusion or

0:15.6

to come on that in a moment first let's settle in together with the sound of the

0:19.4

bells. So to be human among other humans is a joy and also difficult and

0:46.3

confusing and painful we can have similar needs and we can have different needs and it can

0:54.8

sometimes be hard to find clarity around how to move forward or how to see eye to eye or even a

1:03.4

clear path for resolution and so sometimes we just need to be with one another in that confusion

1:12.0

and pain and create a space of safety a container that says I see you I hear you I feel you and I'll

1:24.2

stay here with you I see you I hear you I feel you I'll stay here with you and in sharing that

1:33.3

space with someone there's great love and I think an argument could be made that at the root of

1:41.7

all of the confusion we experience in our life and in our world that's at the heart of what

1:48.9

we most need. So the next time you're with someone going through something difficult or you're

1:56.6

in a conversation that doesn't have an easy resolution see if you can at least take the

2:02.8

perspective of I see you I hear you I feel you I'll stay here with you and that commitment can at

2:12.2

least get us closer to truth understanding and connection thank you for your practice I'll talk

2:20.2

to you soon and until then take care
