0:18.8	wise men that we celebrate in this upcoming feast of the epiphany, I know you know the story I know every
0:24.2	Christmas season you sing that song we three kings of Oriantar but but do you
0:29.1	really know the story do you know who these men were do you know what it was like to be them? Do you know what they were searching for?
0:35.1	What were they experiencing on their journey? The Bible gives us some beautiful little details that are so
0:41.2	powerful that can help us in our own search for Jesus and our own
0:46.2	desire to encounter him. So just imagine being the magic. Who were the Magi? The Magi
0:51.7	probably came from Persia. they're part of the
0:54.0	priestly class they would have been known for interpreting dreams interpreting signs but if
0:59.2	you were one of these magi perhaps you were familiar with a certain prophecy that came from one of your own people.
1:06.0	In fact, the most famous magi ever mentioned in the Old Testament was a magi from the East and this Magi a man named
1:15.5	Bailham gave a famous prophecy. Do you remember that prophecy? It comes in the book of
1:21.2	numbers in the Old Testament.
1:23.0	This Magi from the East Balim gave a prophecy
1:25.1	about how one day a star would come over Israel.
1:29.5	And this star that would rise out of Israel
1:32.2	would be a sign of the coming of a great king. A great scepter will rise out of
1:38.1	Israel, a symbol for a king. Perhaps if you were one of those magi you were familiar with this prophecy from one of the
1:46.0	ancestors, one of the magi who came before you.
1:50.7	Now you suddenly see a star this great sign this great bright light coming over Israel.
1:58.1	You follow that light.
1:59.2	You travel you go on this journey seeking this sign.
