Summary

It all started when she got fired.   A young girl growing up in a safe environment on a small Greek island, where her parents praised doing things safely and only chasing a job that was guaranteed to secure her future, Maria Hatzistefanis knew she wanted to impact others in a unique way.   Her childhood was never extravagant or luxurious. Her parents were teachers, and they all lived a very low-key and quiet lifestyle.   Then one day (in her 20s), something happened that took Maria off the “expected” path and thrust her into the entrepreneurial world unexpectedly…   She got fired from her first big job.   And she says it was the best thing that ever happened to her.   Maria decided to start her own business, Rodial, a potent and unique skincare brand (she even has a vegan line + uses a shocking special ingredient that mimics Botox)!   She is now a London-based entrepreneur, best-selling author, TV personality, and podcaster!   I was so thrilled when she agreed to be on the podcast. She talks about her life before she made it big, how she actually almost went bankrupt a few years ago, and she spills her dirty little skincare secrets (you will totally love these)!   She also gives the most epic advice for aspiring entrepreneurs that I LOVE.   You’re going to flip over this interview! Don’t forget to check out her amazing skincare line, linked below (I’m even buying some myself!)   Happy listening! Love Kim xo Reference List:  Maria’s book: How to Be an Overnight Success: Making It in Business (https://www.amazon.com/How-Be-Overnight-Success-Business/dp/1785037323) Maria’s skincare: Rodial (https://www.rodial.co.uk) and (https://www.rodial.co.uk/US/) (will be dot com summer 2021) Maria’s IG: @rodialbeauty and @mrsrodial Maria’s own IG filter “Banana Lowlighter” QUOTES USED:   “The journey of every entrepreneur is never straight.”   “If you want to be successful, you have to study the people who are doing it really well and learn from them.”

Well, I know I promised you an episode on squatting this week, but I'm afraid we've had to do a little bit of a detour from squatting.

0:20.3

And squatting will indeed happen next week, I promise,

0:23.3

because why are we doing a detour?

0:24.6

Well, I had a very last-minute opportunity to interview

0:29.4

someone who I have followed for many years.

0:32.3

You may never have even heard of her,

0:34.1

but you may have heard of her beauty brand,

0:35.8

or you may have not.

0:37.0

But her name is

0:38.1

Maria Hatsis Stephanus, and she is quite simply phenomenal. She is the founder of Rodial

0:45.5

Beauty and also Nippin Fab. And actually, I have started seeing Nip and Fab, her kind of less

0:51.2

expensive or less premium brand, but still just this fabulous brand in Tesco,

0:56.2

which is our local supermarket whenever I go shop there. And of course, every time I see it now,

0:59.5

after listening to her audiobook, I'm like, there it is. The products are just phenomenal.

1:05.5

And apart from the products being phenomenal, Maria herself is a self-made entrepreneur. She was born in Greece. She now

1:13.8

lives in London. She's a best-selling author, TV personality, podcaster. And she's known in the

1:19.6

industry as not only being an advocate of entrepreneurs, but also a very in-demand speaker,

1:23.8

where she motivates and inspires and encourages people to really be the best that they

1:27.8

can be and achieve their goals and dreams. And doesn't that just sound like something that we also

1:33.9

are big advocates of on the Kim Constable podcast? So it really was a marriage or a match made in

1:39.6

heaven. And this interview was just fabulous. I wasn't, I wasn't prepared for just how much I would love
