| 1:01.7 | You should go talk to a doctor, I think. I'm pretty sure. But in other news, we've got a great |
| 1:06.5 | guest for you today. We've got a good friend of mine who's hanging out and sharing some of his |
| 1:09.9 | wisdom and things that he has learned along the way. But before we get into that, let me quickly remind you, if you haven't already, definitely stopped by free speakerworkshop.com. Every single, just about every single week, we do a free training teaching you all about how to find and book speaking engagements, all right? Preferably paid speaking engagements. And so in fact, |
| 1:28.1 | on that workshop, we talk about different ways that you can get paid beyond just a speaking fee and how |
| 1:32.6 | you can use speaking in your business. So if you haven't already, definitely register for that. |
| 1:37.1 | Again, you can go over to free speakerworkshop.com. Again, that is free speakerworkshop.com and check |
| 1:43.0 | that out. All right. So today we are talking with my buddy Kyle Shealy. Kyle's been a full-time speaker for about the past five, six years or so. A really great speaker, great dude, one of the more creative people that I've ever known. And Kyle is someone actually, I kind of helped get started from the beginning. Now, I don't want to take anything at all away from Kyle. He's a phenomenal speaker. He is a hustler. He has gone out and built his business. And so we talk a little bit in the beginning about how he got started, how we first got connected. But we also talk about how he kind of overcomes this motivational speaker stigma, you know, this idea that you live in a van down by the river. So we talk about how he's kind of overcome that. We talk about how he's built relationships with other speakers, both at his current level and then those that may be a few steps ahead of him, which is really important. You know, one of the best things you can do to pick up new business and to just grow in the business and in the industry is to connect with other speakers. So we talk about how he's done that. We also talk about how he's dealt with insecurities and doubts of being a speaker. And then also how he made the transition |
| 2:37.8 | from speaking part-time into speaking full-time. So I know there's a lot in here that I think |
| 2:42.7 | you're going to get a lot from. And so let's get right into it. Here's my my conversation, |
| 2:47.0 | my chit-chat, chat, chat with my buddy Kyle Sheely. Enjoy it. |
