Good morning everyone and welcome back to another morning with the masters where we devote ourselves

to the Lord daily with you. It's just me, today folks, well kind of. It's me and Micah. We are

giving Tori a little extra time to rest. She definitely deserves it and needs it. And so if you hear

him in the background, please have a grace and patience for us as we're in this new season and

but we want to stay committed to devoting ourselves to the Lord daily with you. And so this is a

commitment, rain or shine, no matter what's going on anywhere here with you. So thanks for sticking

along. We're picking up with day four of our the enemies of the heart devotion, the Bible app. There's

a link to it in the description of the podcast. You guys want to follow along. And as always, I'm

nominated the scripture and I'm also going to read the Devo. The scripture is Luke chapter 12

verses 13 through 21. And it says this, then someone called from the crowd. Teacher, please tell my

brother to divide our fathers state with me. Jesus replied, friend, who made me the judge over you to

decide such a thing as that? Then he continued, beware, guard against every kind of greed. Life

is not measured by how much you own. Then he told him a story, a rich man had a fertile farm that

produced fine crops. He said to himself, what should I do? I don't have room for all my crops.

Then he said, I know I'll tear down my barns and build bigger ones. Then I'll have enough room

to store all my wheat and other goods. And I'll sit back and say to myself, my friend, you have

enough stored away for years to come. Now take it easy, eat, drink and be merry. But God said to

him, you fool, you will die this very night. Then who will get everything you worked for? Yes,

a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth, but not have a rich relationship with God.

The devotional is titled, watching out for greed. And it says, the third enemy of the heart is

greed. It's when we feel that we deserve more and more worldly wealth and goods.

Greed says, I owe myself. Jesus said, watch out, be on your guard against all kinds of greed.
