Hi, I'm James McDonald and welcome back to our study on the book of Revelation, week by week, verse by verse.

God's word, the glory of Jesus Christ revealed to us.

And, you know, a lot of talk these days about politicians and kings and all the rest of it.

But Jesus Christ is the king, and he is the king of kings.

And he stands above and beyond all the things in the newspaper, all the anxieties of your heart, all of the things that weigh us down.

Come on, open your Bible and let's dig in.

How many people would be surprised to know that when I was young and in school, I made fairly frequent trips to the principal's office?

How many people surprised to know that?

I have a friend or two here. And I can, I can, did you go to the principal's office too?

Yeah. You're the kind of guy that really bug me. Did you guys go? How many people went to the

principal's office? That was me. And very freaky sitting outside there. That guy has so much authority.

And here he comes and what's going to happen. And I remember working one time, when I was younger, I worked at a gas station for a while and the boss didn't like some things I was doing and I was told by one of the words. He's coming in, the owner and he's going to be in the bag. You're going to have to talk to him. And I just remember the ominous sense of, here it comes, you know.

And, but I think the time I've had that feeling more than any other time in my life, I told you a few years ago about when Kathy and I went to, were invited to give an opening prayer for an address that President Bush was giving in downtown Chicago.

The part that I never told you about was after I did the prayer part and the whole thing

was over, I had to go and wait in line to actually meet the president.

And I was really surprised how freaked out I was.

I was so nervous, heart pounding, lump in your throat, you know, I'm gonna meet the president.
