My partner, Elizabeth, is a therapist who was diagnosed with ADHD later in life actually and your stuff is one of the first that we went to once you received her diagnosis and it was super helpful for us.

Yeah, I mean, that's what I kind of hope that I can help on board people to this diagnosis because when I started the channel, I did not understand anything about my ADHD. I knew that I had trouble getting distracted and there was this medication that can help me focus, but that was it. I had a lot of

misconceptions about it and stuff and so everything I learned personally about ADHD I

put on the channel and so I think for a lot of people it's a good place to

start especially if you started the earlier videos you can kind of learn along with me.

So you were, I think, 12 when you got diagnosed, right?

Yeah, I was actually diagnosed for 20 years before I had any idea what that diagnosis meant. I was

diagnosed at 12, I was told that I had trouble focusing, I was given Ritalin and

that was it, you know ADHD solved. I did better in school and that really was all anybody was concerned about so you know I

continue to struggle with life for another 20 years you know I trouble planning and

prioritizing and sustaining effort toward long-term goals and I got in so many car accidents that the insurance company threatened to told my dad that they were going to have to uninsure all of us.

Oh my God. You know, I had like disordered eating stuff. I was really

impulsive with relationships. I mean there were just so many things that I

struggled with that I didn't know had anything to do with my ADHD for 20 years.

For 20 years I was going to a doctor every month or every three months depending on the doctor
