That's where I think it really gets interesting, you know, as far as the capabilities of what people have to do at home versus what they have, the capabilities of what people are able to do in a

commercial lab a lot of people think oh commercial lab these guys have it so easy but it's very

regiment as far as you want to try something new that's not part of the SOP yeah good luck versus versus

at home you you want to do something? You're, there's no only, error in opportunity, you're the only thing stopping you. Man, that's great. You're absolutely right. And that's what makes it fun, by the way. That's what makes it fun, you know? As soon as it stops being fun is when you need to call it quits. them listening to my show. There's also a lot of people who are aspiring to this. What are some common

mistakes you see that making at home that maybe those SOPs have an edge on? All right. So one thing that I would say is a lot of folks get too cold.

And I know that that sounds crazy.

But if you are hand washing and you are seeing slush,

your yield is getting locked up inside of that slush to where the tricomes that you've knocked off on your first wash, you might not actually be collecting those until your third collection because it's trapped inside that slush.

So they begin to freeze together the trichome heads?

Or not even so much the trichome heads is that you

have water molecules that are surrounding the tricome heads and they are getting to the point

where they are they are making a bond and it's essentially making slush ice to where it's individual

pieces of ice with tricomes trapped inside or attached to it.

And you can, you'll see it because ideally we are looking for a tapered yield.

You want, you want, based on the facts that our first wash, collections in our in our mind is going to be

the best hash that we make so it makes sense that you would want to tailor your wash to get the

most hash at the beginning and not the end so if you're starting out and it's you know this and then it goes up and then it's kind of the same and then it goes back down like a bell curve, then you're probably too cold.

You know, and we're trying to flirt with freezing, but not go below freezing.

And so many times I see, you know, now that's not to say that every strain

doesn't want to be work cold. I personally found the greasier the strain, the colder the better.

It's easier to work with that resin. Not only your water temperature, but also your room temperature.
