studio with me and the thing I want to know first is at what point do you start to wonder

about medicine uh... just optimal living helping people with health problems when is that

enter into your life when i was in junior high memorize it going to eighth grade and my mom

and my family always grew up in sort of the fitness and health industry my mom was my swim teacher

she was an elementary or she was a uh... phys ed teacher my dad was a semi-pro water skier and

weightlifter so we were always very active but at forty years old my mom was diagnosed with breast

cancer which is really just shocking for us and we live in lived in what i'll call sort of that

medical model at the time where we knew nothing about nutrition nothing about sort of staying healthy

never took a supplement our life and my mom went through all the traditional medical treatments

and she went and had a mastectomy she went through rounds and rounds rounds of chemotherapy and

i can still remember singer hair fall out i remember how sick she got and after going through all

those treatments praise god she was diagnosis being cancer free and healthy but the shocking thing

was for the next ten years my mom seemed to be uh... the sickest she'd ever been she had got

diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome hypothyroidism chronic digestive problems she got put an
