in our how they got their series today that conversation is with Dave Barnes. Dave is a musician,

singer, songwriter, and right here in Nashville. In addition to eight albums he has released,

he's collaborated with some of the biggest names in music including Amy Grant, Vince Gill,

and John Mayer. His most notable hit is God gave me you which Blake Shelton released in 2011,

which led to Dave being nominated for Grammy. This dude is wildly talented but an even better guy.

have you in here. It was years and years ago in a previous life where I met you for the first time

and I can't even remember the place you won't either but it was somewhere in Atlanta, some,

you were playing some gig and I was there with Trip and Tyler and running to you and then we kind

of talked for a previous podcast and I've watched you continue to do your thing. It's so fun to see

how you've grown and what you did. It's something paying attention. Yes. A lot of to see. Yeah.

That's yeah. You know that's not true because what's fun about you is you created, you created

your own little tribe and now they're out there and they're very loyal. Yeah. It's pretty amazing.

Yeah. How does that feel to know that like when you go out there, people are going to show up

your concert and they actually are really excited. They're not just there to hear some music. They're

digging what you're doing. Yeah. Well, you know, it's a, I mean, I'm 41 and so I feel like I'm

in a different season of realizing how incredible and special that is. I think for a long time I

took pepper and then it's I've got an older and there's things that I'm actually trying to provide

for with the kids and with my wife and you know, our lifestyle and everything you sort of realize like,

oh, you guys really are a big part of providing for that. That's right. So it's not quite as like,
